Symbolist painter, Laura Lee, is fascinated by animals, faces and the human experience. Using her own dreams as sources for inspiration, she focuses on portraiture and nature to illustrate powerful themes such as transformation, rebirth and symbolic death. Lee weaves surreal landscapes into her paintings with animals and insects composed together in intricate collages often appearing to float in endless oceans or woodland forests. Her current series, Elements, is about spiritual growth and it is her first series back in the symbolist genre after a 3-year foray into abstract expressionism.
Lee is also a muralist and interior decorator! She is best known for her over-the-top Halloween decor and Halloween artwork which she sells in her Etsy shop, Halloween Hill Studio.
